Keep Shelly in Athens – Song To Cheer You Up
I was like to my friend, “I’m totes over chillwave.” But that was a lie. This very sexy, house beaten, reverb soaked track by Greek duo Keep Shelly in Athens took care of that.

Brooklyn’s Kingdom takes on Jacques Greene‘s “Tell Me” and sprinkles a bit of his own flavor on what was already a hot track. The end result is a club-friendly house cut that bumps and grinds like a boss.
Make sure to check out Greene’s new EP The Look on LuckyMe.

Today I bring you two of the latest tracks for the absurdly talented producer Joy Orbison. While his music always blurred across subgenres, his latest EP takes a marked step back from the dubstep vibe he’d been cultivating in earlier releases in favor of a heavily nuanced four to the floor house sound.
Apologies on the quality, both tracks were ripped from Benji B’s radio show. You can grab this EP in March (3/14) on Hotflush Records.

Kid YEARS aka Haydon Taylor is a young Canadian producer dropping that moody flavor of house I’ve been digging lately. My buddy Phil introduced me to him a few weeks ago and I’ve been sweating these tracks ever since. This guy has a ton of potential and I’m eagerly awaiting his future releases.
Keep an eye on his Myspace for the latest news.
Kid YEARS – 33 Reasons (To Go To the Park)
And a bonus track:
Kid YEARS – Street Light Memories

Killer track off ManarĂ©’s upcoming Quiet Riot EP. This beat is straight up nasty. Remember that crazy underground tribal rave scene in the sequel to The Matrix? Yeah, this is kind of like that except way, way better.
You can preview the rest of the tracks over on TOP BILLIN’s SoundCloud.

If you haven’t noticed recently, the summer is upon us which means one thing – progressive house and trance music is back in rotation. This particular track from Welsh DJ and producer Sasha has been a favorite of mine for years for its epic buildup and sustained energy. Kind of makes me want to take a weekend trip to Ibiza sometime soon …
Banger of a track and a ridiculous video from DJ Wool (of The Glass). “The Dark Snuggler” drops on Beatport June 28th. Check it.
Completely bizarre/awesome video to a classic Orbital jam. Get your pacifiers and glowsticks ready kids— this is one of my all time favorite house tracks.

I may be a little late on the draw for deadmau5 but i haven’t been on an aural adventure like this since, dare i say, the first time i listened to Orbital .
Random Album Title‘s bass is so good it will lull you to sleep while in a different setting, could keep you raving till morning. Check out the evolution of “Faxing Berlin” (Pt’s I & II).

Super deep remix of Comanechi‘s Close Enough to Kiss from Brooklyn house duo Blondes. I wish I could go back in time and bribe Sofia Coppola to slip this beast into the Lost in Translation soundtrack.
You can pre-order Blondes’ upcoming Touched EP here. Also check out Comanechi’s latest LP Crime of Love. Don’t sleep on these guys.

Dirtybird Records‘ co-founder Justin Martin‘s latest EP Robot Romance is currently getting some serious work in the clubs. Get Low is easily the highlight track, owning it with a catchy-as-hell vocal melody and pounding minimal electro beat. I fully support this kind of vocoder abuse.
Make sure to grab yourself a copy of the fresh Robot Romance EP here on Beatport.

Give Die Antwoord, an honest shot by listening before viewing. You’ll see what I mean and I think you will be happy you did. I can’t ask for anything more from this song save for 3 more minutes.

This past weekend a good friend of mine started bumping The Upper Cuts, a 2005 compilation put out by French producer Alan Braxe. Immediately I was floored – why hadn’t I heard this before? I sweat this style of classic house big time. Better late than never, and long live the low-pass filter sweep…
I know what you’re thinking – Fergie? Seriously? Hold up… my man Treasure Fingers has remixed the original to make it not only listenable— but also really, really slick. Trust me on this one.
